NOTICE: Continuous Solicitation for K-12 Certified Teaching Positions

St. Landry Parish School Board is facing a critical shortage of certified personnel and is continuously soliciting applications for full-time certified teaching positions for the 2026–2027 school year.

Applications from qualified, non-retired certified educators are prioritized. Certified TRSL retirees are strongly encouraged to apply and may be utilized to fill vacancies across all levels under Act 344 guidelines where a shortage of non-retired applicants exists.

Ongoing Critical Shortage Areas:

• Elementary Education: All Grades (PreK–5) and Subject Areas.

• Middle School Education: Grades 6–8 (Mathematics, Science, English Language Arts, Social Studies).

• High School Education: Grades 9–12 (All Core Content Areas, Special Education, and Electives).
