Sandra Castille, Port Barre Middle School teacher lead a session at Teacher Leader Summit called Level Up Standards-based learning with Game-based content. In this session teachers learned about the love of gaming is something that students across all ages, genders, races, socioeconomic backgrounds and physical abilities share. They also learned how the use of game-based learning has transformed student engagement and provided data-driven instruction to support learning in all settings. Educators created engaging lesson plans by incorporating game-based learning, while tracking student progress real-time and assigning games for intervention, review and enrichment. Educators personalized the gaming experience by building formative custom assessments in the Legends of Learning platform. #slpproud

Correction to story... We do not pay tuition for those attending the LSUE Academy as we provide transportation; however, we do provide tuition for all dual enrollment taken on our school campuses in SLP and select Universities online with which we have agreements for discounted rates. The LSUE students pay $150 per 3 credit hours (unlimited hours as long as they are SLP students) vs regular student pay $197 per credit hour. https://www.theadvertiser.com/story/news/local/education/2021/05/15/two-weeks-two-diplomas-6-st-landry-high-schoolers-earn-associates/5027969001/
